1.) Introduction

First some facts about Ichiran, it is a Ramen chain restaurant that started in a single place in Fukuoka and Ichiran means one Orchid.

Ichiran has by now 84 locations in Japan and 8 locations overseas!

2.) The process of ordering Food at Ichiran.

There are 2 ways to order Food at Ichiran. The first one is the vending machine at the entrance you put in the money and press on the menu of your choice then you can choose extra toppings and it prints small tickets. You bring those tickets to your booth and press the button to call the staff.

The second way is the late order for side dishes and noodle refill Kae-dama on the booth directly. On the left side wall of the booth, you can find order sheets to order Noodle refills, side dishes and drinks. To order just fill out the order sheet add enough cash and press the button to call the staff.

3.) The private booth to eat.

First, find vacant seats. You can check which seats are available on the vacant seat information panel. At some shops, there are also booths for 2~4 people and private rooms for 3~9 people.

ICHIRAN's Original Private Ramen Booths

Partition Booths allow you privacy and full focus on your bowl of ramen.
For flavor focusing and minimal distraction while dining.
Walls can be levered down if necessary.

Bamboo Curtains the separation between the customer and the employee.
When the curtains are closed, it is now time for you to focus on the flavors of your tonkotsu ramen.

Every booth has it's own water fountain.

4.) Why you don't have to speak to anyone.

One of the big advantages at Ichiran is that everything is labeled in many languages and you don't need to speak to anyone if you don't want to.

The ordering system is perfect with a ticket vending machine a map where you can choose your empty seat and choose the details of your soup and personalize it by circling your preferences on the order sheet.

On the right sight of your booth, you have 4 wooden blocks with notes in case you need to ask or tell the staff something for communication without speaking.

5.) What is in this delicious Ramen?

The natural pork-bone soup is skimmed to perfection so that the ultimate flavor of pork is drawn out.
ICHIRAN's special raw noodles are made from a unique blend of quality flours, with the foremost consideration being synergy with our soup.
Additionally, our original aged "Original Spicy Red Sauce" is a chili-powder based blend of 30 different ingredients that is added to our ramen to bring out a more rich taste.

6.) New branch without Pork (Is it Halal?)

Ichiran opened new stores called Ichiran no pork which is based on a chicken broth but is it really Halal?

The Answer is no it is not Halal-certified!

Ichiran has emphasized on its website that while there is no pork used, the meat (chicken and beef) used is not Halal-certified, and this is not considered “Halal
